Sergei Lebedev, CIS Executive Secretary, the head of the CIS Election Observation Mission, is on a visit to Azerbaijan. Having arrived in Baku last night from the summit of CIS State Heads, Lebedev has visited Sumgait City and met with the Head of the Executive Power of Sumgait and constituency election commission representatives. The election watchdog is also expected to visit polling stations in Baku as well as to meet with government and OSCE Observation Mission officials. /ANS TV/

Azerbaijan will have presidential elections on October 15. 7 cadidates are competing for the highest post. 

Lebedev will observe elections in capital Baku on election day after what he will make report on the results of the elections.
