Leader of a local group of militants in Dagestan, Ilgar Mollachiyev, a.k.a Abdulmajid, who declared himself amir of Dagestani people, was killed. Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan launched information. The information says Ilgar Mollachiyev and other two persons were killed as a result special operation. Press Service of MIA of Dagestan informed that the automobile of the militants was surrounded and they were killed while protesting employees of law-enforcement bodies. One militant was wounded, another could run away from the site and the latter is being searched around the forest for the moment. According to information of Dagestan’s MIA the group headed by Ilgar Mollachiyev includes 40 members and three of them are being searched. They have killed three militiamen and two civilians since the beginning of the year. And in August of the current year several members of the group passed to Azerbaijani territory and special operations were held for holding them accountable. And it was proved that the explosion in Abu Bakr mosque had indeed been committed by the members of this group.

Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan informed operations continue in Derbend region of the republic to render the militants harmless. Another militant was killed during the operation held early this morning.
