Turkish national football team played against Armenia in World Cup European Qualifying. Turkish and Armenian presidents Abdullah Gul and Serzh Sargsyan watched the match as well.

Armenian fans booed and hissed during Turkish national anthem before the kick-off. The fans also booed Gul when he arrived at the stadium, AFP reported.

Turkey won the match 2-0.

Tuncay Sanli scored in the 60th minute of the match to give Turkey a 1-0 lead. The second goal came from Semih Senturk in the 78. minute.
