OSCE MG's 16-year activity does not satisfy us
Turkish Prime Minister told after the meeting with Azerbaijani President.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met in private and alter with participation of government officials during the one-day visit of Turkish Premier to Azerbaijan on August 20. The sides discussed relations between the two countries, situation in the South Caucasus, security of joint project as well as idea of establishment of a Caucasus Union, made by Turkey at the meetings. After, the President and the Prime Minister made a joint statement. The President of Azerbaijan noted that the relations were successfully developing between the two countries. “Daqliq Qarabaq conflict must be resolved only within the framework of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and on the basis of international legal norms. Minsk Group’s activity has not yielded any results for 16 years and we are very concerned about it. Caucasus Peace and Cooperation Platform can make a contribution to peace in the region.” Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev also took stance on the developments in Georgia.
