BTC pipeline closed due to fire in Turkish sector started repair and reconstruction. Repair and reconstruction will finish and oil flow will resume within 10-15 days. The blaze, which hit Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline earlier in August near Refahiye in Erzincan province, disrupted oil flow. 800 thousand barrel oil exported daily through BTC before the fire. Transportation of 9, 6 million barrel oil was suspended due to the shut down of the pipeline during last days. BTC is a crude oil pipeline that covers 1,768 km1,099 miles) from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil field in the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean Sea. It is the longest oil pipeline in the world.
