"I consider formation of peacekeeping force of GUAM is an inexpedient move".  President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin said. To him, GUAM is an organization far from military issues. "Moldova is interested in realization of economic and regional programs within GUAM". According to Voronin, Moldova does not study the possibility of its withdrawal from GUAM.

“The Moldavian government does not plan it. On the contrary, we want to make GUAM a functional organization so that economic and social problems will be soled within it and to continue efforts with this regard,” Moldavian President said.
