Five power stations of modul type have been put into operation in Azerbaijan. They have been constructed in Astara, Sheki, Khachmaz, Nakhchivan regions and Baku. Adjustment and alignment arte ongoing in Sumgayit power station to be commissioned soon. Owing these activities Azerbaijan has no energy dependence presently. Vice-President of AzerEnerji JSC Marlen Asgarov said at the press conference today. To him, construction of about 500 small hydroelectric power stations is being planned in the country.
