The chess tournament dedicated to 85th anniversary of ex-president Heydar Aliyev continues in Baku. In the last tour, Azerbaijani chess players performed quite well. Shahriyar Rahmanov won  Dutch Grandmaster Loek van Wely in the first tour. Grandmaster Qadir Huseynov won the game with Afag Xudaverdiyeva. The last winner of the tournament Bulgarian Antoinette Stephanova also won the first tour thus proving herself ambitious in this tournament. She easily won over Azerbaijani chess-player Misraddin Isganderov. The rating favorite of the tournament, Vadim Milov won Ramil Javadov. Well-known chess-players Arkady Naydich and Ivan Sokolov along üith local chess-playes, Rauf Mammadov and Nijat Mammadov, won their first games. Only 8 games out of 90 end in a draw. İn total, 180 chessplayes are participating the tournament. /ANS TV/
