PACE representatives to arrive in Azerbaijan
The aim of the visit headed by Anders Herkel is to monitor presidential elections in Azerbaijan.

A group of representatives from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe  is expected to visit Azerbaijan on October 12. The aim of their visit is to monitor the presidential elections scheduled for October 15. Andreas Herkel, the head of the PACE delegation, told ANS that the representatives will have meetings with the presidential candidates, journalists as well as the representatives of the public.

“We have got our own program. We have the experts of Venetian Commission of the Council of Europe joined us in this visit. We will concentrate our attention primarily in Baku. But it might also be possible that we want to monitor the elections in the regions. We will hold a press conference on the results of our visit on October 16”/ANS TV/
