Oil production resumed on Western Azeri platform
Oil production from Central Azeri is also expected to be restored soon.

bp-Azerbaijan has restored  oil production from Western Azeri platform. bp-Azerbaijan spokeswoman Tamam Bayatlu told ANS that the production from four offshore platforms out of five is underway within the frame of the Contract of the Century.

“Measures are taken in order to restore oil production from Central Azeri platform. A group of experts are investigating causes of the gas leak. We are also working on restoration of the production from Central Azeri.”

Oil production from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil field constituted about 900 thousand barrels in early September. It dropped down to 580 thousand barrels by October 9. Now it is around 700 thousand barrels. /ANS TV/
