“The credit suspension by banks has not influenced the granting of credits to businessmen. On the contrary, the amount of allocation to National Fund for Aiding Businessmen will be increased by 2 times and will constitute AZN 160 million”, said Xaliq Mammadov, executive director of the National Fund for Aiding Businessmen. He further added that the fund had submitted its proposals to the government. Local businessmen have been granted with AZN 68 million credits. The main portions of credits were granted for agriculture and export-oriented projects. According to Mammadov, the repay of credits and interest rates constitutes 100% and there is no problem in connection with that.
