Pakistan's presidential election is held on Saturday, and Asif Ali Zardari, widower of assassinated former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, is believed to win the presidential bid. Here are some fact about the election: The election was scheduled on Sept. 6 after former President Pervez Musharraf announced resignation on Aug.18. The polling will continue from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. local time without any break at a joint session of National Assembly and Senate in Islamabad and the four provincial assemblies. The presidential candidates include Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, former chief justice Saeed-uz-zaman Siddiqui picked by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Mushahid Hussain from the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q). The voting is by secret ballot. The candidate getting the simple majority will be country's next president. There are a total of 1170 senators, members of national assembly and four provincial assemblies, who will cast vote in the presidential elections.
