Azerbaijani President receives Vatican's apostolic nuncio to Azerbaijan Claudio Gugerotti
The Head of State said favorable conditions for religious communities, including Catholic one had been created in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Friday Vatican's apostolic nuncio to Azerbaijan Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti. Gugerotti conveyed Pope Benedict XVI greetings to Azerbaijani leader. He recalled Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone's visit to Azerbaijan and his attending the inauguration of the Catholic Church in Baku, saying Azerbaijani President`s and his spouse's participating in the ceremony was an honor. President Ilham Aliyev said he is satisfied with Vatican-Azerbaijan relationship. According to the Azerbaijani leader, favorable conditions for religious communities, including Catholic one had been created in Azerbaijan. He said this policy will be continued. The Head of State asked Gugerotti to pass on his greetings to Benedict XVI.
