Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev left for Sumgayit on August 28. AzerTAC State Agency informs that the head of state first laid wreath before the monument to Heydar Aliyev in the center of Sumgayit. Following this, the President participated in the inauguration of Paralympic Sport Complex of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population.

The President was told that it was the only complex in CIS. Local and international competitions will be held in the complex. The construction of the complex began in 2005. Estimate cost of 2.25ha-complex is AZN 3.1 million.

The complex includes 130-man assembly hall, gym, hand games hall, big and small shooting halls, open football and volleyball playgrounds, close swimming pool. Modern elevators, automatic swimming pool cleaners, disinfecting and heating devices have been installed in the center. Necessary conditions have been created for the disabled persons in the complex. Trees and flowers have been planted, lighting system has been installed. A modern hotel will be built near the complex.
