World Azerbaijanis Congress (WAC) has held press conference on the results of the meetings with Azerbaijanis living in Borchali region, Georgia and Derbend region, Russian Federation.Co-chair of WAC, Pasha Galbinur said the Azerbaijani delegation has closely studied the problems of Azerbaijanis living in Derbend during their meeting on August 16.

 “Our counterparts have many problems with education, job and living. The number of Azerbaijani schools diminishes day by day. There is shortage of specialists to teach native language as well. Our counterparts cannot be admitted to higher schools because of the difference in education system. Thus we decided to have talks with State Student Admissiopn Commission and ask every higher school for at least 1-2 underpreviliges places.”

P.Galbinur underlined the delegation of WAC has presented educational institutions of our countries 2 000 copies of textbooks.”The meeting held discussions on political, cultural, culturological and education problems of over 120 Azerbaijanis living in Dagestan.”
