Romanian President Traian Basescu arrived in Baku on August 20, President’s press service. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov welcomed Traian Basescu at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Romanian President and Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister had a short talk in the airport.

Traian Basescu will meet with Azerbaijani President within the framework of his business visit. Spokesman for Azerbaijani embassy in Romania Tural Rzayev told APA that the visit takes place within the framework of Romanian President’s travel to ally countries. Earlier Basescu had visited Ukraine.

Romanian President will pay short-term visits to Moldova, Georgia and Turkey within the framework of the travel. /APA/
