Exhibition of material-cultural works of Azerbaijan will be organized in Berlin Ethnology Museum within Year of Azerbaijani Culture in Germany from August till November and in Dresden Ethnology Museum from November 2008 till March 2009.  

A group of workers of Ministry of Culture and Tourism and State Museum of Art have been sent to Berlin for organizational work in Germany, the Ministry informed.

The exhibition will include a number of exhibits to provide wide information about Azerbaijani history and material-cultural heritage. Materials of National History Museum, Museum of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, Institute of Manuscripts, State Archive Department and National Library will be also exhibited.     

Exhibits found out during the archaelogical excavations as well as different stone inscriptions of XIII century, main music instruments of Azerbaijani national mugham art – tar, kaman, gaval, zurna, ney, naghara - which have been included into UNESCO’s “Masterpieces of oral and non-material human heritage” will take significant place  in the exhibition. “Azerbaijan – Odlar Yurdu” (Azerbaijan-Land of Fires) exhibition will be opened in Berlin Ethnology Museum on August 26 within the “Year of Azerbaijan” in Germany.
