Alternative bridge close to Grakali station is unfit for transportation of goods despite Railway Department of Georgia jointly with Azerbaijan had carried out intensive measures after Grakali Railroad Bridge in Kaspi district was blown up by Russians on August 16. Railway Department of Georgia informed ANS TV that the analyses of the metal of the bridge showed the bridge is not proper for transportation of goods. Railway Department of Georgia have mobilized all forces to resume function of the railway bridge. Thus transportation of goods to and fro Poti port did not take place today. Reconstruction is expected to finish within 7-10 days.
