"Russia will continue to assist parties to find a suitable solution for Daqliq Qarabaq conflcit," Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said. He said thad Daqliq Qarabaq conflict settlement is a complicated process and OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs will help to advance it. "There are some tiny improvements. In any case, we welcome restoration of direct talks between Azerbaijani and Armenian Presidents in Saint Petersburg on July 6."

Medvedev touched Caspian problem as well and said this problem was discussed with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. "We spoke about how we will have to work, and coming summit. We agreed that the summit should be held after its agenda is completely prepared and issues regarding Caspian Sea security agreement are considered. This is in line with decisions made in tehran last year. Other documents may be signed as well. In this case, arrangement of relevant meeting of heads of Caspian States will be admissible and necessary."

Russian President also stated that Baku talks were an important phase in development of Russia-Azerbaijan relations, consolidation of strategic partnership and friendship between our countries, peoples.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that he had very efficient talks with his Russian counterpart, discussed a large spectrum of bilateral issues, regional cooperation and international relations.
