Cuban chairman of Commercial Chamber Raul Besser who is on visit to Azerbaijan has held press conference today. Marcelo Caballero Torres, Cuba's temporary plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan told the delegation from Cuba has come to participate at Exhibition of Food Industry in Baku. R.Besser told that Cuba is one of the leading countries producing sugar-cane. “We have bilateral economic cooperation with Azerbaijan. And this exhibition enabled us to get acquainted with production areas of Azerbaijan. Cuba intends to continue economic cooperation with Azerbaijan. We are planning to inaugurate diplomatic representatives of Cuba in Azerbaijan soon”, he added.

R.Besser stressed Cuba is planning to export pharmaceutical equipment to Azerbaijan. “We have come to Azerbaijan to get more information and learn Azerbaijani market. We had meeting with Azerbaijani minister of Economic Development Heydar Babayev today. We came to agreement that Azerbaijani businessmen will visit Cuba soon.We also discussed the issue on cooperation of energy carriers of the two countries in future.”
